Arriving on the lawn in front of the main buildings, the original Upton Hall is the two storey building on the right, while the larger three storey building on the left was built by the Sisters in 1863 prior to the School moving from Lingdale House.
The lawn remained until construction work on the Lingdale Building was started in 1998, when it was converted into a temporary car park. After the building work was finished, most of the former lawn was retained as a permanent car park.
