Outside the Dining Room a balcony was constructed on the roof of St Anthony's Passage, this was accessed by a small flight of steps from the Dining room.

A second balcony was built above the Dining Room balcony outside the first floor dormitory. This second balcony was removed in 1956.

The Dining Room Balcony in 2004

When the Dining Room was converted into the new Staff Room in 2005, a Conservatory was built on the balcony to provide an extension to the staff room. Access to the conservatory is by two sets of steps from the new Staff Room.
