Until the Holt Building was completed in 2005, the main entrance to the school was through the double doors of the 1863 extension. Inside these doors is the Entrance Hall.

The appearance of the Entrance Hall has changed little over the the years, the most obvious changes being the addition of a reception desk and the update to the heating and lighting systems
